Class Etiquette & What To Bring

Here's a short list of things to note before you and your dog attend a class at First Place Dog Training:

• Arrive 5 minutes before class and be ready to start on time.
• If there is another class running when you arrive please leave your dog in the vehicle until they are finished and off-site.
• Maximum of 2 people per dog to attend to avoid extra distractions for the dogs.
• Allow other dogs lots of space.
• Keep your dogs on a lead at all times.
• Do not allow dogs to meet face to face.
• Be considerate of language and behaviour being used in class and around others.
• Flat collars or harness for training. No slip leads or retractable leads.
• Clean up after your dog.
• Please do not bring bitches in season to Group Classes. I would still expect you to attend Group Classes in person without your dog so that you can continue learning and apply this at home.
• Please note there is no toilet available.
• Dress yourself for the weather as the classes are outside.
• A mat for your dog to sit on.
• If your dog needs extra warmth or to be kept dry, consider if they need a coat to keep comfortable.

• If your dog loves toys, bring their favourite along to class.
